AIMS
King Richard School has the following aims:
• That the school shall offer a broad, balanced and relevant education to all.
• That through its curriculum, support systems and ethos, coupled with the quality of its
relationships, the school will help pupils in their growth towards maturity and responsible
citizenship.
• That each pupil and member of staff will be encouraged and enabled to reach his or
her potential. That a positive view to encouraging maximum achievement will be a
cornerstone of the school’s philosophy.
• That the school will be a creative, caring and industrious community.
• That the school will prepare pupils for life in a pluralist society, opposing racism, and
encouraging respect in children for their own and others’ religions and cultures.
