INFORMATION REQUESTS & PROBLEMS

You wish to inform the school of something or you have a query.

a.         Send a letter or note via your child or through Forces Post.

b.         Telephone the school secretary, Mrs Apostolou,  and ask to speak to the person
you need (preferably during break times).  Mr McCarthy is usually available until about
16.00 hours on 4745 on most afternoons or come to the school.

c.         Visit the school, but remember that if you do so without an appointment you may
not be able to see the person you need.

d.         Arrange an appointment through the secretary to see the person you would like
to speak to at your mutual convenience.

e.         See your Advisory Committee representatives and ask that they deal with the
matter.  There is an Advisory Committee meeting once a term.

You have a COMPLAINT to make.

Any of the suggestions from (a) to (e) above can be followed.

Serious complaints should be brought directly to the Headteacher or Deputy
Headteacher.

If you think the complaint is a very serious one which the school management cannot
or will not handle you have the right to go direct to Service Children's Education,
Episkopi, BFPO 53; telephone 3978.

Social or pastoral queries can be referred to one of the co-ordinators of Key Stage 3, 4
or 16+, the Deputy Head or Headteacher.  They can be contacted via 24 744776.

Problems regarding homework or individual subjects can be referred to Heads of
Curriculum Area, subject teachers or the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher.

If there are problems with your child's education at King Richard School they cannot be
solved unless we know about them (they are not always obvious).  With effective
communication from all sides, most problems can be successfully overcome, so do
please let us know about them.  If you think the matter is serious enough to go direct to
SCE Episkopi, it is only reasonable that you should first confront us with it.
